Think Little Red School House...with a modern Twist.
Lil Red is non profit organization supporting homeschool families by providing a “tiny home” customized as a @LilRedTinySchool. Lil Red is an RV style tiny structure that sits on a 8' x 30' trailer, making it mobile to be used as needed and where needed, and then hitched up and taken to its next home. Built for use by homeschool families, Lil Red's are placed in local neighborhoods and integrated into the community, making it conveniently located to homeschool family co-op members. It's like bringing the “little red country school house” of the old days back into the neighborhood, but with a modern twist!
Homeschooling is increasing exponentially year after year and Lil Red was formed to help families with some of the most pressing challenges - financial, physical space and connection. Our schools provide an immediate extension of the home and community, offering physical space for learning, social connection and homeschool activities, as well as providing a “school” identity and experience for the kids. As a non-profit, we are also able to assist with fundraising and financial contributions from the community as a qualified charitable tax deduction. It's all about coming together for the kids and creating the best possible environment for each child's success.
Integrated into the community, Lil Red is more than just a school building. We start by helping families take that first step into homeschool education with confidence and excitement and then we continue supporting them by building and fostering a community around Lil Red, Lil Red parents and Lil Red kiddos! Just like in the old days, when the school house was a centerpiece in the neighborhood, Lil Red is helping families step back in time, to take a step forward in creating the future they want for their children. In addition to normal homeschool activities on a daily basis, Lil Red is utilized for regular get-togethers, group activities, celebrations and events supporting the entire homeschool community.
