What is Lil Red?

Lil Red is a tiny school, providing needed physical space + social connection to home school communities. Each Lil Red is placed in your neighborhood, integrated into your community, and conveniently located to family co-op members. It's like bringing the “little red country school house” of the old days back into the neighborhood, but with a modern twist!

What makes the Lil Red community special?

Integrated into the community, Lil Red is more than just a school building. We start by helping families take that first step back to simpler times and then we continue supporting them by building and fostering a community around Lil Red - just like in the old days, when the school house was a centerpiece in the neighborhood. We support collaboration and creativity, provide a school identity and give students a sense of pride and belonging. In addition to normal homeschool activities on a daily basis, Lil Red is also utilized within the homeschool community for regular get-togethers, group activities, celebrations and events supporting the entire homeschool community!

Why Do We Support Homeschool Families?

Our passion is connecting families and communities as we build our Lil Red network of schools. We encourage the sharing of resources, ideas and experiences. We aspire to awake that spark of creativity, to recognize the unique talents of each student - and each parent - and to inspire and encourage one another along the way. It's all about coming together for the kids and creating the best possible environment for each child's success.  And, we simply want to making learning fun again!

Get started on your Lil Red Adventures in three easy steps!

1. Start a Lil Red Co-op

It all starts by connecting with local homeschool families and deciding to give your kids the future you want them to experience!

Every homeschool co-op gets a website to start connecting right away to homeschool kids, families & the community!

2. Apply for a Lil Red

If you want a physical Lil Red School House, you'll need to get on our list and get approved!

While you're waiting, you can start using all the feature of Lil Red & connect with homeschool families & the community.

3. Start Fundraising & Support

Lil Red is a registered 501c non-profit and can help you start fundraising for your Lil Red School House!

Take advantage of our non-profit status school fundraising, especially important if you want a physical Lil Red School!

Many of the homeschool parents across the country love what we're doing and support our mission to empower homeschool education! Our Homeschool Parent's Circle was launched for those that want to show support for Lil Red Wiggins, with a $25/month contribution (most popular!) that directly supports our Wiggins Tiny School! Your membership will also allow you to connect with homeschool parents across the country via our Lil Red smart social communication. Explore our Lil Red Co-op Classes & Kid's Clubs

Are you local in the Wiggins, Colorado community? Explore our available homeschool co-op parent led classes and kids clubs for the 2024/2025 school year. Classes are taught co-op style, meaning parents will rotate leading the class. Classes vary each school year based on Lil Red kids ages and interests.

Learn while exploring with Lil Red adventures

Outings and adventures are an excellent way of learning and our Lil Red family LOVES Lil Red Adventures. Our adventures are organized and led by parents in our co-op. Join our Lil Red Adventures Club or Volunteer to help organize these adventure filled learning opportunities!
